Eixample

Eixample ist ein Stadtteil von Barcelona. Auf Deutsch bedeutet der Name "Erweiterung" und gibt einen Hinweis auf die Entstehung dieses zweiten Stadtbezirks. Eixample wurde im 19. Jahrhundert auf dem Reißbrett entworfen, ein Großteil der Gebäude wurde im Stil der Modernisme Català erbaut.
